One of the most beautiful beaches in Cyprus (definitely top 10) with shallow waters, sandy long beach with great - upgraded facilities. There is also a bar for snacks and drinks, showers, toilets. It's also next to the Oasis restaurant and an archaeological site. The beach is only a short drive from Dipkarpaz.

Nice place to relax by the sea. We go there often to swim and snorkle. Facilities at The Marina has been renovated this year. More comfortable sun beds and places to relax. The beach bar has a new menu with more choices. Food is good for a beach bar & service is excellent. Sonetimes music is a bit loud. There is a very nice restaurant as well. You can take a buggie from beach if you do not want to walk..

We Write About Karpaz Alot

Karpaz is a peninsula located in the northeastern part of Cyprus, in the region administered by Northern Cyprus. It juts out from the island like a long finger, ending at Cape Apostolos Andreas. In practical terms, it’s about an hour’s drive northeast of İskele (Trikomo) or around a two-hour drive from the city of Famagusta.

Absolutely. Karpaz is often considered the must-visit area for nature lovers in Cyprus. It’s worth the trip for its deserted beaches, untouched landscapes, and unique attractions (like roaming wild donkeys and the cliffside Apostolos Andreas Monastery). If you value tranquility, authentic local culture, and scenic beauty over crowded tourist resorts, Karpaz will be a highlight of your North Cyprus journey.

Karpaz is known for its unspoiled environment and rustic charm. Signature features include the wild Cyprus donkeys that roam freely, the pristine Golden Beach (often called the best beach in Cyprus), and the historic Apostolos Andreas Monastery at the island’s easternmost point. The area’s lack of mass development and its wealth of wildlife (sea turtles, migratory birds, etc.) also make it famous as an untouched paradise.

The main settlement in Karpaz is Dipkarpaz (Rizokarpaso), a small town that serves as the cultural and logistical hub of the peninsula. Other notable villages are Yeni Erenköy, a former tobacco-growing town on the coast, and Büyükkonuk at the peninsula’s base, known for its eco-tourism initiatives. These “towns” are actually quite small and traditional – part of Karpaz’s appeal is that there are no big cities here, just charming villages dotted across the landscape.
